Little Miss Artrcshiah Williams, niece of the bride, served as flower girl. She wore a burgundy and beige dress made of velvet and lace. Davis Williams, Jr., nephew of the bride, was ring bearer. The wedding was directed by Mrs. Breiula Ford McGhee of Greenville. A reception was held at the church. Assisting were Mesdames Delores Ford. Beverly Renee, Johnson'. Lisa Ford and Barbara Fields. A dinner party was hosted by Mrs. Addic Wilson the night of the wedding at her home in Emory Wood Estates. The groom's mother entertained at an after rehearsal dinner at her home. A bridal shower was given by the bride's mother and sister at the future home of the bride and groom. The bride received a Bachelor of Science degree in School and Community Health Education from East Carolina University in Greenville. She is employed at North Carolina Mutual Life Insurance Company. - The groom attended shaw University in Raleigh ind is employed at John Umstead Hospital. Miss Mary Baines. - Following a discussion of keeping Durham beautiful, a decision was made that the club would later select a block to keep clean. The president made a report about the different committees of the Council and what was expected from the club members to each committee. Azalea's contribution to each committee was accepted by the club. Mrs. Colcy reported on the planned nip to Washington, DC, April 3-4. for the Cherry Blossom Festival.
