Dawson , Hillside's varsity' basketball team opened the Big Six Conference tournament Monday night with a runaway ,71-34 victory over ; visiting Henderson Vance. i Hillside held a 42-21 lead at the end of three quarters, and was never threatened throughout the contest. Hornet head, coach Leondras Williams played each of 1 his ball players in the win ; over Vance and received outstanding perfor mances from sophomore guards Fred Young and Demorris Tucker.
