Career Options for Nurses on Saturday; March 13,
is a daylong workshop to explore options and career
alternatives for nurses. The morning session will deal
- with alternative work patterns, new specialties in nur
sing, continuing education, and other news in the
field. The afternoon small roup sessions will help
participants in self-assessment of values, skills, and t
interests, and the use of that information in choosing I
career options. The day's fee Is $40 or $25 for either
session, Instructors are the counselors of the Duke t
University Peer Counseling Service. ' i ; - ;
"VIDEOTAPES A group of 22 videotapes of
local events, people, and places has been presented to
:the Durham Public Library by Durfiam Technical In
stitute. The videotapes were produced by Media Ser
vices Department at Durham Tech working with
other groups in the city and include a portion of the ,
Arts in Durham series which was produced in)
cooperation with the Durham Arts Council. The
videotapes feature interviews with local artists.
Brother Yusef, Nancy Tuttle May, and John Page,
and performances by dance companies, jazz musi-!
dans, and folk groups. The public is invited to view!
