Dudley High gym was packed as Hillside and Ligon rooters rock ed back and forth with the action of a classic game. Ligon led 26-20 at the half, but HHS took a slim advantage after three periods. The fourth quarter was torrid. With 1:47 to go, HHS was up by five and we circled the perimeter of the court just waiting to cut down the nets in victory. Ligon then staged a furious ral ly and the game went in to overtime, tied at 59. When our graduation ceremony rolled around during June's hot, sticky days, we walked out of HHS proud that in . sports we had more than upheld Hillside's winn ing tradition.
