The Fayetteville District is the Central North Carolina Conference's second largest district, The Conference is composed of five districts: Durham, Fayetteville, Sanford, Laurinburg and Raleigh and has a total of 23 churches, including the church founded by Henry Evans, Evans Metropolitan. Freeman has been a vocational agriculture teacher, guidance counselor, principal of a high school, middle school and senior high. He has ; worked as an assistant superintendent in two dif ferent school systems in charge of Federal Pro grams and Personnel, respectively. He holds B.S., M.Ai, M.Div., and D.Min. degrees. He also holds the Advanced Certification in Administration from University of North Carolina. Freeman was the first black elected to the Fuquay-Varina Town Board. He is now scrying his second term as Mayor Pro-Tem and will complete twelve years in Town Government at the comple tion of his present term, ' He and his wife, Arletha, a former guidance counselor with the Wake County school system, have three children.
