i celebrated its 33rd anniversary on Sunday, June 27, '
at the home of the Wallace L, Stones.
A buffet dinner was served and lots of reminisc
ing took place. - ;
Guests were: Ms. Amelia Harper, Ms. Vanessa
Hunter, Mr, and Mrs. William Br acey, Ms, Mattie
Speight, Ms. Ollie M. Ray and Graham Pretty.
Members present were Mmes. Ora L. Bryant,
'Sara Pugh, Elizabeth Jones, Gamaliel Pretty,

opened with the singing of the Club song. Commit
tee reports were given and discussions were held
concerning summer activities. A July 4 cookout was

Atlantic City, New Jersey. ,

Following the meeting, the hostess served a meal

The Dogwood Garden Club met July 2 at Ihe
home of Mrs. Roberta Edmundson on Dunbar
Street.
The meeting was opened by Ihe president, .Mrs.
Susie Martin. Devotion was conducted by Mrs.
Sadie Winston. The Convention, to be held in
August, was the main item for discussion for the
evening. Members were asked, and agreed, to lake
an active part in the meeting.
Mrs. Edmundson served a repast.
Other members present were Mrs. I.. Alston,
Mrs. B. Harris, and Mrs. Cora Brown.
