Hill Recreation Center's Kung Fu Martial Arts Club Activities Nineteen members of the Kung Fu-Khalifa Mar tial Arts Association from the W.D. Hill Recreation Center and other members of the Association from Lyon Park and East Durham centers, took part in a camping trip to Satterwhite Point, Kerr Lake, in June. Members of the group were chaperoned by their instructor, Floyd Mims, Sr.; who organized the outing. ' Activities included fishing, boating, volleyball, cooking, exercise sessions and martial arts instruc tion, v . ,' .. The group included Leroy Goldston, Terry White, Steve Conrad, Steve Reddish, Allen Dillard, Van Perry, Floyd Mims, Jr., Khedron Mims, Juan Barbee, Michael White, Pernell Briggs, Johnny Burnette, Webster Yates, Bernard Leathers, An thony Hester, Jeff Royster, Douglas Anderson and Thomas Boyd. Hostesses were Mrs. P. Nuchurch, A. Murray and N. Gattis. Brunch was served. : Mrs. F. Nash, a special guest, presented a beautiful art show of her husband's (Willie Nash) drawings and paintings. Club members and their guests plan to attend the' Village Dinner Theater on August 20. Proceeds of the profitable bake and yard sale on July 3 are earmarked for the Black College Fund. The candlelight ceremony has been one of the highlights of the North Carolina 4-H Congress in Raleigh. Membership in the 1200-member honor club is a reward for outstanding service and 4-H'ers. He has spent five years completing projects ranging from electric work to forestry, photography, meteorology and home environment. Delta Gamma Sigma Chapter has presented $300 to the Children's Services of the Cumberland Coun ty Mental Health and Mental Retardation Center, i Receiving the check were Mrs..
