Mrs. Monroe, coordinator of the association's organizing process, declined to give specific figures on current membership, until November 1, after the association elects of ficers. Bridges reports 20 aides have so far paid parfial or full member ship dues for NCAE membership. The paid up deadline is December 9.' . .. . ! Mrs. Monroe said through the aides 1 association they hope to promote professional growth of paraprotes sionals by encouraging them to seek further training, to urge active ; participation in helping to solve school problems and to commit themselves to a profes sional code of ethics. ' Sh said the associa tion is trying to negotiate carefully with school of ficials, DC AE officials as well as state represen tatives to gather firm support and to avoid the mistakes of the past.
