who heads (he "Lou Rawls Parade of Stars" television fund
raising special for the United Negro College Fund, recently
received an honorary doctorate degree and certificate of com
mendation from UNCF member school Saint Augustine's Col
lege. Through the three-year-old Parade of Stars program.
Rawls has generated nearly $10 million to benefit the 42 colleges
