Miller ran for the state House of Representatives in 1992 and the Durham City Council in 1993. Miller serves on the Youth Ser vo e Advisory Board, Industrial Facilities Board, Polution Control and the Financing Authority. Miller said that he hopes to achieve a more rounded experience by being on the Planning Commis sion. The Youth Board has given him an outlook on the social needs of Durham's youth and the Plan ning Commission should give him an outlook on the infrastructure of the city and enable him to serve the co,:iivi’usliy more thoroughly. Brenda H. Souder, formerly from Atlanta, Georgia, joined the Bank in June 1991 as a Customer Service Representative/New Accounts Clerk. Her background entails over twelve (12) years experience in banking, sales and management.
