SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 12, 2016 - THE CAROLINA TIMES -9 Andrea Harris Honored For Work At NCIMED On October 21, at the Durham Convention Cen ter, Ms. Andrea Harris was feted for her “34 years of working on behalf of improving the conditions for minority and women-owned businesses to grow and prosper,” said in a letter in the program by Lewis H. Myers, chairman of The Institute. The N.C. Institute of Minority Economic Devel opment has grown over the years and this banquet was to honor her service. The Institute was charted in 1986 and has been “conducting research, developing public and pri vate partnerships, and sponsoring programs to as sist low-wealth individuals and improve the eco nomic status of underutilized communities in North Carolina,” says the program from the event. Ms. Cynthia Marshall, senior vice president - Hu man Resources & Chief Diversity Officer of AT&T was the keynote speaker. Ms. Harris has friends, family and colleagues ex tol her hard work and untiring effort to improve the business climate for minorities and utilized commu nities. MS. ANDREA HARRIS
