of the county as heretofore, and
act as Clerk to Board at same
salary as paid for the preceding
year.
H. H. Jones is inst ructed to look
after Anna Newsome and report
her condition at next meeting.
On motion it is ordered that
$3.00 per month be finished to
William ^Overton and wife and
that Uoggard and Stokes furnish
the amount.
On motion it is ordered that
$2.50 per month be furnished to
Elija Liverman by J. D. Earley.
The Clerk of the Board is order
ed to notify the Clerk of Court,
Sheriff-Treasurer and Surveyor to
make report of the fees of their
office for the past year in accord
ance with the law. and if this re

Tlie play "Farm Folk*" was
presented bare list Friday evening
under tbe direction of Mra. L. Q.
Bollard and wan enjoyed bv a
large crowd. Tboee taken part in
the play, individually and collect
ively made a big bit with the
audience and it waa one of tlie
best plays ever -given here by the
amatners. This pla'y' will prob
ably be taken to some of the sur
rounding towns in the near future.
The Ba^Lca-Philathea conven
tion met bere on Saturday and
Sunday 6t|i-7th., and Was well at
tended despite tbe extremely bad
weather. Tbe program.advertised
was carried through with tbe ex
ception of two numbers, k speech
by Mr. J, H. Matthews and a
song by Mr. A. C. Mitchell both
of Windsor who were detained by
the weather. Miss Byrd was pres
ent and made several interesting
talks. Among the delegates pres*
ent were Misses Inza Bridgers.

anything peculiar in bis actions.

spent the night with friends here
last Friday and left on the early
