COUNTY COMMiS 4 SIONERS MEET The Board of Chanty Commission ers of Hertford County met on the 4th day of August, 191# .all mem ber* of the Board being present. 1 I The proceedings of lost meeting [ were read and approved. The f6)lowing committees are con tiued, to-wit: Committer on bailding Bear Swa mp Bridge. " Committee on jail and tank. Committee on courthouse. G. B. Storey and T. T. Parker made payment of $10 each on hire of prisoners in their custody. The Committee on buiMing bridge at Bear Swamp is further continued and instructed to let out and have a new bridge built at onc?. C. E. Boyette and 1. M. Eley are given authority by the Board to let out and have Benthall's bridge re built. On motion C. E. Boyettt is given authority to assist M. E. Worrell in widening the dam at Murfreesboro to the amount of $40. Petty Manufacturing Company is given authority to lift personal prop erty in St. Johns Township with the . Register of Deeds. un motion, committees consist ing of J. A. Northcott and D. R. Mc Glohon are appointed to comply with the request of the grand jury in having tables provided for their( i office*. Clerk and Register of Deeds, for the placing of books. The Clerk of the Court is instruct 1 ed to secure the bonds for Murfrees boro School District and have same issued. On motion M. M. Brown is re elected as Supt. of County Home for the year 1920, at a salary of $1.1") per day. The sum of $1.29 is refunded J. L. Smith for error in taxes. The sum of $24.06 paid in by J. ^ T.
