Doughtie, who was taken to a Norfolk hospital sev-j eral days ago, Will undergo a slight operation within the next few days. She is now under tre atment. Mr. Doughtie spent the week end with his wife; and he will be on hand again this week end, when, in all probability,1 the operation will be perform ed. SEVERE WINTER WEATHER The first three days of this weefe were the coldest en rec ced this winter. Tuesday night and Wednesday the thermom eters took a decided slump, the large thermometer pn Main Street registering twenty two degrees at 11 o'clock Tuesday night.
