Aakew, Jr., to have timber cut from County Home property and to make arrangements to build flat for Pitch Landing ferry.' / The Board orders the Clerk to put notice in the Hertford County Herald stating that all taxes will be required to be paid in by the first Monday in April and all Tax Col lectors will be required to settle by the first Monday in May as the law directs. On motion and carried, the mat ter of back taxes against the estate of J. C. Carter is deferred again until first Monday in April. The Board authorizes that license be granted to H. C. Britt as County necessary bond. The question of colored demon stration came up again before the Board upon a petition of the colored matter, upon motion of E. H. Eure seconded by F. G. Tayloe, the Board voted to rescind its former action discontinuing colored farm demon ' atration work. Voting in the nega tive Jno. C. Taylor, and J. C. Askew, <Jr. Upon motion an<F carried, the board votes to appropriate the sum of |1Q|00 per month beginning Mar. 1st, 1922, to co-operate in this colored demonstration work. Vot in the negative, J. Miss Elizabeth Ruffin was the guesv of her sister in Norfolk Saturday and Sunday. Most of our sick folks are convales cent. Mr. and Mrs. Winbron were visi tors in Crum Sunday. March came in like a roaring lion, but here's hoping it will be good enough to make its, exit like a lamb. Mr. Phillip Moore from Norfolk, was a visitor here last uesday. Mr E. S. Winbrow was in Ahoskie last week. Messrs. Cotton and Raynor Moore and Jimmie Raynor Were visitors in Winsdor Monday. Miss Pearl Hays is visiting in our village. The ladies are all looking forward to our spring millinery opening which will be soon. Messrs. White and Marcus Smith were callers in toWn Saturday.
