Mr. Z. V. Bellamy left Tuesday for
Rockingham, N. C., to purchase an
ice cream factory. This means a new
enterprise for Ahoskie. Mr. Bellamy
expects to commence operations in
about three weeks with an output of
about 400 gallons daily.

in town Wednesday on business.
Mr. A. M. Brown spent Wednesday
and Thursday in Norfolk on business.

Mr. A. O. Kiff left Wednesday for
Scotland Ncek to perfect plans for
the district meeting of the W. O. W.
to be held in that city in June.
Mr. B. S. McKeel left last Friday

were visitors in Ahoskie Monday, the
guests of Miss Audrey Newsome on
east Church street
Mr. and Mrs. M. S. Baker, of
Richmond, Va., are the guests of their
sister Mrs. W. A. Baker, who has
been very ill for some time but is
improving at this writing.
Mr. J. Bailey Barnes' Ford car was
stolen Monday night from in front of
his residence on Church street, but
owing to the small amount of gaso
line it the car it was found Tuesday
on the road between Ahoskie and
Winton where it had been abandoned.
There is no clue to the guilty parties.
