The B. Y. P. U. of Bethlehem church will meet from now on every Sunday afternoon at 4 o'clock. We are glad to note that Mm a C. Godwin is able to be out again. Mr. Tommy Kiff of Norfolk, U. S. N., is spending some time with his parents near Brantleye Grove. Mr. Jim Overton and little daugh ter are quite ill with the "Sue" at the home of Mr. and Mrs. M. V. Wilson. Mrs. W. M. Askew is on the sick list. e , , : Messrs. Tommy Kiff and Loney Dilday motored to Christian Harbor Tuesday night. Mrs. Alice Brewer of Aulander is the house guest of her sister Mrs. W. M. Askew. News reached here today that Mrs. LiUie Dilday of Norfolk is quite ill at the home of her daughter. She is threatened with pneumonia. Mrs. Dilday formerly lived in this section. Mr. B. F. Wilson and daughter motored from Christian Harbor last Sunday and were the guests of his brother Mr. M. V. Wilson. The wife of George Melton, one of our respected colored citizens, was taken to a hospital in Norfolk Tues day for treatment. Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Askew enter tained a number of their friends last Wednesday night Those present were; Mr. and Mrs. E. Holloman, and Miss Julia Leggit of Cofield, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Overton and children, Mr. and Mrs. M. V. Wilson, Mr. and Mrs. Alice Brewer of Aulander; Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Lowe and family, Messrs. Ambrose Wiggins, Glen Siamons, James Vann, Loney Dilday and Wil ton Askew. Music was rendered "by Messrs. Henry, Hart, and Boll.
