Askew, Jr., I to build flat for Tar Landing Ferry. t Committee to make trade of mule at County Borne. Committee to repair Court Bouse at Moneys Neck. I Committee to make repairs to ferry house at Parkers Ferry. i Mr. E. H. Euro reports that the office for Home Demonstration Agent has been completed, and the committee is discharged. The matter of fire insurance on the County Home property was brought to the attention of the Board, and upon motion and carried F. G. Tayloe was made a committee to take the matter up with the agent of insurance company and is given authority by the Board to arrange such insurance as in his opinion is necessary and adequate. Mr. F. G. Tayloe turned into the Board the sum of $6.60 for seed corn sold from County Home which amount is deposited with County Treasurer. The building Committee for County Home is instructed by the Board to proceed to investigate the erection of cottages contemplated at the County Home, and to secure bids and proceed with the work. On motion the Board Totes to relieve Allie Boone taxes on 1267.00 error in listing real estate. On motion and carried the Board votes to place phones in offices of Register of Deeds and Cleric Superior Court, phones of the New Era Telephone Company. On motion, the Board authorizes relief to J. W. Terry of taxes on valua tion of $867 error in listing real estate on tax books. The Board also relieved Howard Bros. A Co'., taxes on $8,100 error in his list account of stock of goods. ? Also relieved W. A. Baker A Co., taxes on $2,500 error in placing two lots on tax list. Also relieved Hertford Anto Machine Company taxes on $2,000 error in listing stock, these errors to be turned in as errors by Tax Collector of Ahoskie Township. On motion the Tax Collector Ahoskie township is allowed credit for amount taxes listed against Jordan and Parker as error; lots having been sold to other parties. ^ On motion the Board rescinds its former action in assessing the Britton timber against Cofleld Manufacturing Company, and votes to make same read $3,000 instead of $4,000 and also Clerk is ordered to compute taxes against the said Company on another tract, Pope tract at valuation of $500 making $3,500 in all. This for 1921 taxes. The matter of compensation to List Takers taken up by Board and upon motion and carried, it was ordered that the amount of 8 cents per farm be paid list takers for taking the crop acreage reports. * It coming to the attention of Board that H. T. Gatling was relieved of dog tax in error last meeting, relief of $2.00 on female dog, it was ordered by Board that the Tax collector St. Johns township be authorized to take action against said Gatling and any other parties refusing to pay such taxes, and that the Board agrees to be responsible for any costs incurred by the Tax Collectors in enforcing the dog tax law. The Board votes to authorize the building Committee to erect at the County Home a potatoe house and that 2 acres of land be devoted to the raising of sweet potatoes, and that plants be secured for this plot of land. The Committee on back taxes of Carter estate made report, showing $7,682,00 error in listing for year 1917 and the Cleric is ordered to compute taxes on said amount for said year. The Board gives J. O. Askew, Jr., authority to investigate an erro claimed by Grissom and Powell account of solvent credits and if satisfactory, to allow Tax Collector Hartrellsville township to grant relief for any error found.
