Val entine attended the opening of the Wilson tobacco market Tuesday. They reported tobacco as selling very good on that market. Miss Iola Wooten delightfully en tertained a number of her friends at a picnic at Golerain Pleasure Beach last Thursday afternoon in honor of her guest Miss Mae Belle Barnhill. Mrs. E. M. Wooten is spending some time in Hilton Village, Vs., as the guest of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Eley. Mr. H. S. Basnight and Mr. Emer son spent Monday in Suffolk on busi ness. Dr. Z. P. Mitchell and Messrs. M. R. Montague and Manly White, of Colersin, passed through town Wed nesday enroute to Niagra Falls, where they will spend their summer vaca tion. Mr. J. Mayon Parker, who has been employed by the Logan Democrat at Logan, West Va. for the past three months returned home Monday.
