Pruden of Seaboard was the guest of Mrs Grant Snipes Saturday. i Mr. and Mn. H. U. Grifflth and Misses Ada Vinson and Elisabeth Woodson attended the Woodeon Taytoe marriage last Thursday at Union. ?? Mr. and Mrs. Freak Chitty moved here with their family last week to our school. They are occupying the house vacated by Mrs. Bettie Sue Gatling. Mrs Lloyd Baker of Mount Tabor spent last week with her mother, Mrs Joe Cowan. Mr. and Mrs Chas W. Parker and Misses Janie Parker and Elisabeth Woodson spent Saturday afternoon in Murfreesboro shopping, Mr. Lloyd Cowan of Ahoskie spent the week-end with his mother. Miss Thelma Brown left Wednes day of last week to resume her stud ies in the Winton High School. Mr. J. M. Eley spent a few days in Baltimore last week. Messrs. Alvin Eley and Stanley Brown who have been working in Pittsburg, Penna returned home Fri day. Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Prentiss and children of Woodland spent Sunday as the guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Snipes. Miss Janie Parker spent a few days of last week in Union. While there she attended the Holland-Tayloe mar riage. Roebuck and little son Claude Vaughan, visited, in the home of Mr. W. J. Vaughan a faw days last week. i Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Storey of Maple ton apent Friday with Mr. and Mrs. Walter Forbes. Miss Hilda Dmke left Wednesday for/East Carolina Teachers College at Greenville. Mr. A. M. Brown haa bought of Mr. T. G. Peed his farm, some 2 miles from town, while Mr. Peed has pur chased Mr. Brown's home place here in town. Mr. J. M. Darden is having his store remodeled and will move his stock of goods from the store of J. C. Britt which he now occupies into same whan completed. Mr. Thad Holloman went to Rocky Mount Saturday for a few days. Miss Irene Britt is spending this week with her sister, Mrs. Rufus Miller of Ahoslde R. R. D.
