BETHLEHEM NEWS Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Peele enter tained a few of their friends at a sugar stew given at their home at Bethlehem Tuesday evening. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. G. A. Sia mons, Misses Susie Hill, Mae and Helen Adkins, Gladys Jernigan, Er cell Siamons, Rosa Lee and Martha Slaughter. Messrs. Troy Hill, Lewis Jernigan, Clyde Slaughter, Roy and Cree Holloman, Wilton and Loney Dilday. Miss Irene Parker spent last week end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. P. j D. Parker at Montgomery. Rev. Barnes was the guest of Mr. and Mrs. "P. D. Parker on last Sunday evening. Little Arthur Brinson Dilday who is at St. Vincent hospital is reported as improving. Mr. J. N. Wiggins who has been very sick with pneumonia is some bet ter at this writing. The Bethlehem B. Y. P. U. Society gathered at the home of Mr. J. N. Wiggins on last Tuesday evening and picked out his cotton for him as he was sick and not able to work. His fellow members of the B. Y. P. U. could not let his cotton stay in the field and have him ill too so they at tended to the matter for him. Miss Essie Dilday is spending some time with her sister Mrs. John Brant ley near Center Grove. This week will finish up the peanut picking in.our community.
