JUNIOR CLASS
ENTERTAINS
--At the home of Miaa Ada Belle
Sessoms last Friday evening, a very
delightful entertainment was given
by the Junior Class.
The guests assembled?at eight
o'clock, and were all obliged to kiss
the blarney stone, this being intend
ed to furnish the guests with all good
luck. The hall, parlor, and sitting
room were tastefully decorated with
the colors of St. Patrick's day?green
and white, while the emblem of Ire
land, the Shamrock, was the outstand
ing feature in the decoration.
After all the guests had assembled,
various contests were engaged in
among them the following:
1. A St Patrick's contest.
2. A musical romance.
8. Paper doll dressing.
The first of these consisted of an
swering 'Green' or its equivalent, af
ter about a dosen questions. This was
won by Miss Lois Parker and Mr. T.
R. Bain.
The musical romance was quite
unique and much enjoyed. The win
ners of .this were Miss Sailey Burgess
and Mr. Horace Garrett
The paper doll dressing contest
consisted in passing around paper
dolls with a piece of crepe paper and
a needle to each gentleman. Each
boy then dressed his doll with some
aid from his partner.
During the evening delicious green
and white mints were served, and
late, at eleven, a cream and cake
course was served. The cream was
white having a green shamrock
moulded in the center, the cakes were
iced with green and white; in the cen
ter of each plate was an Irish pipe
with the green shamrock on its bowl.
The tally cards were decorated
with a shamrock and green pencil, on
{this each guest wrote a wish which
was to be given to another guest.
Much fun was furnished by going
to the wishing well Just before leav
ing. This was in the corner of the
hall. Each guest drew out some
souvenir such as small horns, ham
mers, candy, suckers, etc.
