Zeigler, who has - been the guest of relatives in Ahoakie for some time, left for her home in Flor ence, S. C., last Sunday. Mrs. Martha Lane, of Chowan County, is the guest of her daughter and son, Mrs. G. L. Willoughby and E. E. Lane, respectively. Miss Blanche Holloman of Rocky Mount, N..Ci and Elizabeth Thomp son of Suffolk,- Va., are the house * guests of Miss Bessie Cowan. Mr. Lee Parker, of the Southern Commercial Company at Durham, visited relatives and friends in Ahos kie and Menola last week-end. Mr, and Mrs. W. J. Bateman and daughter, Lois Jeap, left this week for a visit of a few days with rela tives in Roper and South Mills. Mr. and Mrs. Pete Barrett of Wil son spent last Friday night in Aboe kle as the guests of relatives and friends.
