Scull returned home from Norfolk Tuesday afternoon. Mr. L. T. Holloman, Mimes Annie Laurie Sessoma and Sadie Soraers were viaitora in Ahoskie Tuesday afternoon. Mrs. Bridger and her son, Robert, of Winton, were guests in the home of Mr. H. H. Taylor, Taeeday. Mr. H. H. Taylor and sister, Mn. J. E. Ward were in Ahoskie Wednes day. Quite a crowd from Slarrellsville took in the shew at Colerain Thurs day night Among them were Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Call is, Miaaee Ethel Callis, Elizabeth Smith, Annie New some, Thelma Newaome, Annie Laurie Sessoms, Bertie Northcott, Sadie Somers, Messrs. Locke Mitchell, Cecil Roughton, Ernest Mitchell, L. T. Holloman, Will Sharp# and Tom mie Taylor. Miss Nell Deans spent Thursday evening with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Perry Deans in Colerain. Misses Annie Laurie Sessoms, Sadie Somers, Bertie Northcott, and Nell Deans went to the teachers' meeting at Winton Saturday. Mrs. Delk Baker and Miss Agnes Baker stopped in town Saturday on their way home from Norfolk. Mrs. Lettie Aumack spent Friday evening with her son, Mr. W. B. Oil liam. Miss Ida Brett was in town Satur day, shopping. W. M. Baker left Friday for a visit to relatives in Norfolk. Mrs. Windby of Belhaven is visit ing Misses Alee and Janie Sharpe. Messrs. S. E. Harrell and T. A. Taylor were business visitors in Ahoskie, Friday. Miss Alee Sharpe is visiting Mis. C. W. Beasley in Colerain. Messrs. L. T. Holloman and S. ?. Harrell spent Monday afternoon in Ahoskie on business. Among those who went to Winton Monday to carry exhibits for the Fair were Mr. and Mrs. B. N. Sykes, Mrs. H. H. Taylor, Mrs. W. B. Gil liam. Mrs. D. N. Evans, Mrs. B. Scull, Dr. and Mrs. J. A. Powell. Mr. and Mrs. M. W. Newsome and their children, Misses Thelma, Annie, Maddie and Lee Sumner went to Williamston bridge, Sunday. Rev. Barber filled his regular ap pointment at the M. E. Church Sun day morning. Mr. Will Newsome and daughters. Misses Kate, Willie Mae, Ruth and Inez and Orm?, went to the Williams ton bridge Sunday. Among those who motored to Co field Sunday afternoon were Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Southton, Misses Ethel Callis, Myra Scull, Elisabeth Smith. Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Callis; Messrs. M. R. Taylor and L. T. Stephenson and son, Thomas J., Jr., of Seaboard spent Tuesday night of last week with their sister, Mrs. C. W. Stephenson and attended the Association at Mur freesboro. Several gentlemen from Ahoskie and Rocky Monnt came hare last Fri day and enjoyad a deer hunt with the hunters around here both Friday and Saturday.. a Miss Clara Belle Harper attended the teachers meeting at Wlnton Sat urday morning. We are glad to report Miss Lena Harper able to be up again and hope aha will soon be entirely well. Mr. Bob Dixon was hurt very pain fully last week while trying to repair a wire fence. We are glad to say he is out again. Mrs. J. G. Joyner of Spaboard is visiting her sister-in-law, Mrs. C. W. Stephenson this week. Mrs. ?? H. Griffith and children, Whit and Sarah, spent Sunday with Mrs. Griffith's mother, Mrs. Sarah Whitley near Como. Mrs. D. H. Parker has returned to her home here after spending soma time with her daughter, Mrs. Walter Gerard of Blount Creek. Mr. Abram Dixon and children, and Mr. Isaac Parker and children motored to Winton Sunday after noon. * ' Mrs. E. B. Vaughan of Murfrees boro was a caller at Mrs. L. H.
