Upon the second look ho perceived that iha nose had a strong scar upon each side of it. To be short it was made of a thin plate of silver, painted to correspond with the countenance, and faHtencd in its place by two claws, one of which rested u(>on each of the real nos trils, the top being held fast by a pair of spectacles. The fastenings though some what uncomfortable for u while, have been found ill other castes, at last t» bccome eusy. To this Association was added last year 70.‘i members by Baptism. It consists of 28 churches and 1828 members. This As. flociation is one of eight in Soiith-Carolina.
