The company will begin business as soon aa the plant can be installed, —Looking back, there is an un believeable contrast between the ap pearance of the streets of Graham now and a year ago. It ia a won derful transformation and one that has given mneh pleasure to both residents and visitors. Besides the street improvement there have been numerous improvements in business houses and residences, but let ua hope that the coining year will wit ness many more improvementa in property, business and residential. A Monday Dinner. It was the pleasure of a company, numbering about 40, to enjoy a very liountiful dinner at Mr. Broad W. Johnston's, 3 miles south of Graham, on Monday. The company consisted of the families of the brothers and sisters of host and hostess. It waa the good fortune of Mr. Chaa. D. Johnaton and family, Misses Mattie Watsoo and Stella Cox of the Register of Deeds' office, Sheriff R- N. Cook and Mr. and Mrs. IS. P. McClure to partake of the aplattdid repeat. All an lavish in their praise of the large variety and excellent preparation of the meal. Mr. Wesley L. Coble Dies in 93rd Year. At hia home in Coble township, in the houee where he waa born and apent hia long life, Mr. Wealey L. Coble died on the morning of the 22nd inat. in the 93rd year of hia age. Hia wife died laat April, aged about 78 years. They are aurvived , by fonr sone and one daughter. Among them ia Judge Albert L. Cobb of Stateeville. Mr. Coble waa a mod eat, quiet farmer. He enjoyed the diatinction of being poetmaater at Hartahorn for aixty years. He wsa held in high esteem "by all who knew aad enjoyed hia friendship. MARRIAGES. Lam-Loy. |Mr. Rosa B. Lane of Guilford county and Misa Addie Loy of Bur lington were united in marriage on Dec. 88th, 1915, by R*v. Jaa. W. Roee at hia hone ia Graham. Stttt-Aadenon. Mr. R. W. Scott of Melville and Miaa Ella Anderson of Bnrlington were united in -marriage yesterday morninir, * Dec. 29th, at the home of the bride's aiater, Mrs. Geo. W. Anthony, in Bnrlington by Rev.
