The beautlfication of home surroundings with choice flowers Is one of the main objects of the club. ?It was learned a fety days ago that John Graham, son of the late Capt. and Mrs. Jas. A. Graham, former residents of Graham, lives at Elkins, W. Va., where he holds a position in the elty government. He was a lad of some 10 or 12 years when his parents moved to Wash ington, D. C. in the late 80's. The home of the Grahams was the present home of Mr. C. P Albright. ?Graham Parent-Teacher As sociation held Its initial meeting for the corning year last Thursday evening in the school auditorium. It was in the nature of a reception, and was well attended . Mrs. H. W. Scott, president, presided and spokfe words of welcome. Mrs. J. Dolph Long made an encouraging report on the activities of the lib rary. A number of others made short talks. A very pleasant musi cal program under the direction of Mrs. Wm. I. Ward was given. Af ter the exercises the association served delightful refreshments. Deaths. Mrs. Fannie Blalock, 82, died early Saturday morning at the home of her son, K. D. Blalock, at Union Ridge. She Is survived by two sons, K. D. and- E. D. Blalock, the later of Greensboro. J. M. Elliott, 66, died at Bur lington Friday after a long illness. Funeral was conducted Sunday at Lexington, Va., where the body wSs carried for burial. E. R. Taylor, 76, died suddenly Sunday night at the home of his daughter, Mrs. D. W.
