William L. Huff Passes
William L. Huff, 56, long-time
resident of Burlington, died at
his home there Saturday after
noon following one week of critic
al illness. j
Mr. Huff was born in Cleve
land county. He was a veteran of
World War 1, serving as band
sergeant for the 113th field ar
tillery. Until his health began to
fail, he was an active mason a'rid
was recognized in music circles
in Charlotte and Raleigh, and was
a member of the Good Fellows or
chestra in Charlotte at the time
of his death. *->
Funeral services were conduct
ed at the Episcopal church pf the
Holy Comforter, of which he was
a member, Sunday afternoon by
Rev. Lewis ?chenck, assisted by
Rev. Millard Stevegs. Burial was
in the church cemetery.
Surviving are his wife, one
daughter, Mrs. L. D. Knapp; and
one son, Lewis.
