Henley which was on Monday aud Tuesday was largely attended by people both far and near, and as heretofore their expectations were well satisfied as Mrs. Henley always carries a line to suit the most exact ing tastes and on this occasion her display way very beautiful. Dr. Hall, of New York, adver tised a lecture to have been given in tne upera House last Friday even ing but after listening to a couple of pieces by the Band and a delay in getting tiie Opera House key it was decided to postpone the lecture until Monday evening. We learn that the lecture was not given as no audience appeared Monday. It looks now as thouerh the good roads will be completed to Tar River bv about the 25th of this month, and the Bridge over the riv er is being pushed as rapidly as 'pos sible and will be completed by No vember 1st, then we can spin over to Henderson and Henderson and the people along the line can come to see us over strictly good roads.
