The military boys returned from Wilmington last week all high ly praising the people of that city for the -entertainment given them.. Our merobants should pay more attention to advertising. The one who shows a desire to receive the trade of the people usually gets it. Sereral of our people took ad vantage of the opening of the bird season and went . hunting Monday. Some report a right ?ood days work. The wrk on the good roads is progressing finely. Now who is it that is not in favor of them. They are few and tar between, and right they should be. Our town fathers would do well to have a street cleaning about aiow. The dead leaves and trash 'scattered about the, streets does not present a very pleasant scene. Mr. Cal?in Brown has taken a position with the Seahprd Qere in the frieght depot formerly filledf by Mr. -R. B. Conway. Mr. Conway 'has been promoted to time-keeper ifor the bridge crew. Work is progressing rapidly on fcoth the railroad and eoanty bridges at the river, and also the railroad bridge at Cedar Creek. It is net ex pected that it will be very long be fore they will be completed. Again we will ask the citizens of Frankiinton and community to make notes of all news items and hand to our reporter on every Tues day. This will greatly assist us in giving you a better department. Let everybody take a hand in soine movement that will be a help to the town. The town needs seme thing more to increase its capacity for attracting people to it and you had better take a hand and help it along. Reports received here from the different sections where the good road bnilding is going on in this tewnship that are very encouraging. The work is being pushed along rapidly and a splendid road bed is being made, lion. J. W. Bailey, of Raleigh, will deliver an address tc the High School at Bunn on Thanksgiving night November, 25th. Tke baok aches at times with a dull, indescribable feeiimg, making yon weary and restless; piercincr pains shoot across tne region of the kidneys, and again the loins are so lame to stoop is agony. No use to rab or apply a plaster to the back in this condition. You eannot reach the cause. Exchange the bad back for a new and stronger one. Louis burg residents would do well to pre. fit by the following example: D. S. Fuller, Broad St., Oxford, N. C, says: For a long time I kaew that my kidneys were disordered, this fast being plainly proven by the unnatural appearance of the secre tions and by the heavy sediment which they deposited. The passages were also quite frequent and often I was obliged to rise at night on this account. ,Dull backaches afflicted me and sharp pains through my loins made it almost impossible for me to stoop or lift. Hearing about Doan'e Kidney Pills and being impressed, I procured a box and through their use was cured. They not only dig posed of the backaohe, but etrength ened my kidneys and benefited me in every way. I can recommend Doan's Kidney Pills as the best kidney rem edy I ever used." .
