The streets have been pretty well cleaned recently and they present a ranch more pleasing appearance. ?C. H. I'ruitt, a member of our local military company left for Norfolk Tuesday, where he enlisted in the regular army, tie was sent to Fort Sloeomb, N. Y. after enlisting. Hia friends here wish him success. ?Mark Fuller, one of Franklinton'sraost respected colored citizens, died at Rex Hospital, in Raleigh, where he had gone to undergo an operation on last Tuesday, His remains were brought here ind buried V on Friday.
