THE FRANKLIN TIMES: A. 9. WKIIIU, UiUr u4 ?TAR DROPS? ? k>erything pmtd off quieYA> _ On Wednesday. April KUi. at 7:45 p. m. the School Extension will hold -a county meeting in I?uisburg Court House. They will present a special picture which will be used only one night in the county. This will b? the immortal Dream of John Banyan giv en in the book. Pilgrim's Progress . Just as every one should read this wonderful book which is known second to the Bible, so every man, woman and child in the couty should see the pic ture. This is. an allegory which com bines all of the charm of a romance and a novel with a good moral lesson. The picture ts well mounted and ar tistically produced, being one of the Ooaqaest pictures from the George Klein Library of Classic Films. There will be a short sketch of the life of Banyan by one of the Bonn High School students, a few comments on his book by one of our ministers, music furnished by a number of oar communuity musicians from Seven Paths, Cedar Rock. Sandy Creek, Laar el. Mt. Grove. New Hope and other Communities, and probable > song or two by the little Edwards girls from Mapleville. Admission will be IS and 25 cents. The manager of the local thenire has kindly given over his first per formance for us. UCKT ITEMS How nice it is to ban some one to help in 9*wiiiK in the Alert Items, but we wonder why they waited so long to begin. School will dose this week and they will o I cum go home then. However we enjoyed their items last and we are just crazy about (Matt and Jeff). Wa ?a u* so, well suited to Iftia. as Matt is tall and slender while Jeff is low and stoat. Mutt and M we welcome yon iato oar enter taining circle, although we doot think yon are as good at entertaining as the real Mutt and Jeff themselves. If you were we think yon would have more of it to do than yon have had during your stay in oar little town. We are sorry to know that some ot oar people have grown up so ignor 'ant Just think of a man living on a farm for fifty or sixty years and yet don't know that a mole has no eyes. When Mr. C. F. Falkner sees anoth er mole out of the ground we advise him to examine him very close and it he does really find a mole with "Kjts" we think the entim community would be glad to see him. and would pro bably pay him I little moaey to see such a wondertnl sight as a mole with eyes. If be coold make a little money in this way it woald help out in baying artificial "leg- for bis mule, TbefyMe could do so much more plough tsg^nd could probably buy himself a car and stop talking ? much about other peoples cars.
