Oraduated from Columbia University Law School 1838.
Admitted to New York bar same year.

Married Agnes Harvey from his home town ol Cheat* rflefcl in 1S99.
Lectured on law at Colombia from 1899 to 1902. Made professor on til
1905.
Recalled as dean of law school in 1910.
Resigned last December to become member of firm of Smltivan & Crom
