Allen Entertains For Brides-Elect On Wednesday night. May 7, Mr?. J. M. Allen delightfully entertained a large nugnber of gueats at thirteen tables of bridge, at her lovely home on North Main Street, in honor of Missses Louise Allen and Frances Barrow, recent brides-elect. The guests were received at the door by the hostess, who presented them to the honor guests, who were beautifully dressed. Miss Barrow in a gown of sheer flowered net In pas tel shades against a rose background; Miss Allen in a lovely gown of flesh moire. They were {baa invited to remove their wraps by Mrs. A. W., Person. Mrs. W. B. Barrow graciously pre sented the guests with score cards, in the shape of brideB, from a basket of fragrant spring flowers. After five progressions of bridge, it was found that Miss Katharine Pleas ants had won high score prise, which was a beautiful pair of Bilk hose, and Mrs. O. Y. Yarborough had won the consolation prise, a lovely lace doily. The two honor guests were present ed by the hostess with beautiful silver bon bon dishes. Delicious salad and ice courses were served. The home was beautifully decorated with colorful cut spring flowers %nd ferns, the colors prevailing being pink and green. Watson, entertained at nine tables of bridge, at her home on Main Street, on Thursday night. May 8, honoring Misses Louise Allen and Frances Barrow, brides-elect The spacious rooms of the first floor of the home were all thrown to gether and attractively decorated with cut flowers, the color scheme being pink and white. After several progressions, prises were awarded, the high score prise go ing to Miss Margaret Turner, and the : consolation prize to Miss Katherine Pleasants. Lovely prises were presented the honor guests by the hostess. A delicious salad course was served with iced tea, and mints in pink and white cups.
