I was born in Franklin County fifty-four rears ago, was prepared tor college In Frankltnton, and was grad uated from Wake Forest college in IMS. In religion I am a Baptist and for fifteen years I have been Supt of the Frankltnton Baptist Sunday School. In public lite I have served four years as mayor of the town of IVankllnton, six years as justice of the peace, and tor the last six years have been chairman of the school board of Frankltnton Graded Schools. In pontics I have always voted the Democratic ticket and believe In the principles of democracy. I believe in the enforcement of the laws' of the county and state with equity and justice to all. I believe that cases in court should be decided on the evidence and not on friend ship, or to curry favor, or for the hope of future reward.
