The home surrey of the county te be made by the club women of the county sot off to a good start Tues day at a meeting of the Council held In Louiaburg. Nine clubs were repre sented. Miss Estabrook presided and told of the object of the surrey as the preliminary step In planning a long time program of work for home demonstration forces. Questional res to be filled out by the committees and returned to the home manage men office were gone orer carefully and explained by Miss Estabrook. The club gave a program that was followed by a lesson In table setting. Wood Woman's Club started the new contest year with SO per cost of members present at the meeting Wednesday. The November program on household textiles was carried out. .. MitchIners Club was entertained by Mrs. Lula Cherry and Miss Smith at 8even Oaks Farm at the regular monthly meeting Thursday, with fifteen members present. Questions on household textiles brought up some interesting discussion. The home agent showed samples of cot ton sad wool blank eta that showed the process of manufacturing and the offsets of proper laundering.
