We were very much enlightened on this subject, by the good reports that were given. Reporter. e e e O'Henry Literary Society (Helen O. Kearney ,13) Armistice Day was observed by the O'Henry Society, and the follow ing program was given: Song. In Flanders' Field?Alice C. Smith. America's Answer?Grace Ayscue. Why we should honor the soldiers who fought In the World War Singleton Pace. Contribution of "The Red Cross" during the World War?Ruth Jour Why the world should honor the mothers who sacrificed their son Estelle Stokes. Song. We were especially glad to have Prof. G. E. Crawley as a visitor, and appreciate his complimentary re marks Concerning the program, see B Sharp Club (Helen Q. Kearney '31) The "B Sharp Club" organised last session by the music pupils, proved to be Instructive as well as entertaining, so we have reorganised and elected officers for the year. We miss several of the older girls who are no longer with us, but those who are stepping up to take their places are endeavoring to make the meetings worth while. "The Etude" furnishes the ma terial for our programs, and a study of the biographies of famous com posers makes their wosk more In teresting. Our music class Is smaller than usual, but we are striving to show real Improvement. Our teacher may have a different opinion about the efforts we are potting forth. ? e ? ? Sidney Lanier Literary Society The Sidney Lanier Society held its regular meeting November 14, 1930 at which time a very interesting program was rendered.' The subject for the day was "Education".
