Personal freedom can slip away ? little at a time, as quietly as chil dren grow. It can be destroyed by forces from within our borders. Subtle forces ? like the steady ex pansion of Federal Government in business, and the effect it has upon our daily lives. Already our Federal Government owns many thousand businesses. In the field of electricity alone the out put of Federally owned electric plants has now increased to more than 15% of the industry's total. And there are those who would put the government even deeper in busi ness. When any government owns business, it can control both goods and jobs. When it does that, it can tell you where to work, where to live, even what to do or say. In the light of this, can you see any reason for our government to own and manage any business like electric power and light, where it is not needed? Isn't it best to leave that to companies like CP&L who have proved that the American tra ditions of individual effort are wl- I give our nation strength?
