Engagement Announced DORIS MALONE MURRAY Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Murray of Route 4, Louisburg announce the engagement of their daughter, Doris Malone Murray, to Jimmy Hunnicutt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Jones, Route 2, Louisburg, N. C. A summer wed ding is planned. 4-H Achievement Day Scheduled For March 13 The Achievement Day for 1963 will be held March 13, 1964 In the Epsom Gym at 7:30 p.m. This Is late this year due to the shortage of personnel In the Extension Office. This program Is designed to recognize the 4-H Club mem bers who have done outstanding work during the past year. This event Is planned and carried out by the clubs. Each one Is re sponsible for one part of the program. The clubs begin mak ing plans weeks before the event to prepare for their part. The devotional will be given by the Needmore Club. Epsom will be responsible for making arrangements for the meeting place and for the needed equip ment for conducting the meet ing. Invitations will be Issued by the Centerville Club and they will also be the welcoming com mittee. The pledge to the American Flag will be led by the Justice Club and the Hick ory Rock Club will lead the 4-H Club Pledge. Refreshments will be provided by Moulton Ingleslde and Loulsburg will work with (he* programs. Clean up time will be taken care of by the Wood Club. Each group is responsible for publicity In their community. The 4-H Agents will give the awards for outstanding projects during 1963. A period of recreation will follow the program. Ail . 4-H members, parents and friends are Invited. Wood G.A.'s The Wood G. A.'s met on Friday at the Wood Baptist Church with 9 members, two leaders and one visitor present. Paula Gupton presided ov?r the meeting. "Take Time To Be Holy*' was the song used, and prayer was given by Judy Gupton. Patricia Hamlet called the roll and read the minutes of the last meeting. During the business meeting, members voted to give $5.00 to the Annie Armstrong ottering. Paula Gupton led In prayer for the missionaries on the Prayer Calendar.
