.At Louisburg College "Barber of Seville" Ends Concerts The National Opera Com pany's production of Rossini's delightful comedy, "The Bar ber of Seville," closes the 1964 65 season * of the Loulsburf College Concert Scries, March 30, at 8:00 p.m., In the Col lege Auditorium. Sung In English, the popular opera will feature Miss Kay Creed, (Miss Oklahoma 1960) as Bertha, Earl Rica of Cin cinnati, as Dr. Bartolo, and Eric Cedergren of Chicago as Figaro. Others In the cast are from Texas, Maryland, and New York. The Company's founder, A. J. Fletcher, and th? Business Manager, David Wlth erspoon, are both of Raleigh. Felton, celebrated hls fourth birthday Monday, March 22, at three o'clock by entertaining his little friends at aClrcus Birth day Party. The house was decorated with balloons, circus clowns, and animals. The little folks 'gathered around a circus topped cake as they sang "Happy Birth day." After Ellis opened his gifts the children were served clown cupcakes, Ice cream, pretzels and Coco-Cola^. Fav ors were balloons, circus hats and bubble gum. Those helping to celebrate the birthday were Steve Phillips, Lynn and Angle Fleming, Kelly Corpenlng, Mary Lu and Nancy DePorter, Tommy DeMent,. Mrs. W. D. Fuller, president presided. The meeting opened with the singing of "Fairest Lord Jesus" after which the de votional was rendered by Mrs. J. M. Griffin. Hight entertained her Bridge Club Wednesday evening at her home on Ford Loan Fund, Mrs. B. M. Gupton; Home Food Supply, Mrs. B. H. Gupton; Public Relations, Mrs. J. M. Griffin; and Home Beau tlficatlon, Mrs. W., D. Fuller. The demonstration on "Foun dation Garment!*" was given by the agent, Mrs. Frances Fuller. She showed different types of supports, discussed the benefits of the proper support health wise, and emphasized the- fact that no woman is well dressed without the correct foundation. During the social hour, a de lightful little St. Patrick's Day game was enjoyed with Mrs. F. A. Read winning the prize. The hoateeves served delici ous chicken salad sandwiches, cheese cake and coffee. (DP) Circle with two tables playing. During the play, cokes were served. At the end of sev eral progressions, a delicious desert course was served to the following members. Mesdames: Vernon Stone, -George Dennis, Paul Mullen, Horace Sweet, James Mltchiner, HelmanCash, and Florence Wells. High score prize for the even ing went to Mrs. Cash while second high went to Mrs. Stone. After a lot of traveling, the traveling prize was finally, cap tured by Mrs. Cash.
