Randsdell WMS Meets The WMS oj Ransdell Chapel met Monday evening with Mrs. Addle S. Cash. ' There were six members and one visitor present. The pro gram ( was entitled "Assign ment? Missionary Associate." All of the members took part In discussing various parts of this Interesting program. Following the program, the hymn, " Ble^B*. The Tie," was sung, TLfter which Mrs. Doc Cash closed the meeting with prayer. The hostess served home made chocolate pie, pickle, potato chips and soft drinks. The July meeting will be held In the home of Mrs. Norman Frailer. Bunn WSCS Meets Bunn ? The WSCS of the Methodist Church met Monday night at the church. Mrs. C. B. Richardson called the meeting to order. During the business session plans were discussed for ? changing the shrubery planting about the building. Mrs. Rudolph Benesh ably presented the study "Our Chil dren and Theirs." The pur poses of the program are to Illustrate the contributions each differing race and culture has brought to the United States and to emphasize our respon sibility as Christian citizens in the community of new na tions. I deaths! RAYMOND FULLER JONES Durham ? Funeral services for Raymond Fuller Jones, 70, ol 407 E. Trinity Ave. were conducted Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at Hall-Wynne Funeral Chapel with Interment following in Old Maplewood Cemetery. Rev. M. Dewey Tyson, pastor of Calvary Methodist Church, officiated. Pallbearers Included Ross F. Brlgmart, W. Earl Fowler, Jr., Ralph E. Robertson, Jr., all of Charlotte, Robert F. Adcock, Jr., James E. Leathers, and A. L.' w?lto&, all of Durham. Mr. Jones died Tuesday at 2:20 at Veteran's Hospital, fol lowing arlong period of ill health and a critical Illness of three weeks. A native of Franklin County, he was the son of the late George W. and Panola Fuller Jones. He had lived In Durham since 1908, receiving his edu cation In Franklin County and Durham schools. He was a veteran of World War I and was the first person to volunteer for the 113th Field Artillery when It was organized In Durham County. -* He was a member of Flat Rock Biptlst Church In Frank lin County. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Shirley J. Bryant of Dur ham; a son, Raymond F. Jones, Jr., of Durham; U grandchil dren; and five sisters, Mrs. H. C. Harton, Mrs. S. L. Hunt, Mrs. W. E. Fowler, Mrs. Jean ette J. Woods, all of Durham, and Mrs.' Mabel J. Brlgman of Charlotte. T. of Loulsburg, Rt. 3, and Howard Harris of Rt. 2, Louls burg; three sisters, Mrs. John Jones, Mrs. Roy Moore and Miss Lizzie Harris, all of Rt. 3, Loulsburg; and one grand child. Thompson, Sr. opened the meeting with a scrip ture reading followed by pray ?r. " Mrs. George" Cooke gave a financial report. She announced lhat a 25% Increase In collec tion was being sought. Miss Nelle Joyner gave the program entitled, "We Would See Jesus." She stressed the need to live In close touch with Jesus. At Intervals she read scripture from the Upper Room.
