Baseball Tournament Onens Here Thursday The Eastern District Baseball Tournament opens at the Louls burg College field on Thursday of next week. The tournament wTll deter mine the team to represent the Eastern District In the National Tournament In Grand Junction, Colorado, May 27-June 1. Participating teams will be Ferrum, Gardner-Webb, Win gate, and Hlawasee. Ferrum won the Cavaller-Tar Heel Conference, Gardner-Webb and Wlngate are "the two top clubs In the Western Conference, and Hlawasee is the Region 7 win ner from Tennessee. Gardner-Webb will meet Hla wasee In Thursday's opener at 1:00, followed by Wlngate and Ferrum at 3:30. Friday morning at 10:00 the two Thurs day '^sers will meet. Thurs days winners will meet at 1:00 Friday. At 3:30 Friday the Winner of Friday mornings L gams will meet the loser of Friday afternoon's game.
