The new coach Is Stan Boles, who re places Beck Corbln who took a position elsewhere after directing the Rams the past few seasons. Boles began puttlngjthe squad through its paces on August 15 and has made a number of changes In positions. New members have been added to the team and several eligible to return have not reported. The Rams lost eight mem bers to graduation last year and ten l>oys who were mem bers of the squad last season are not out for football this year. The local lass was among seven girls from Green Hill ?Country Club here partici pating In the tournament which saw players from each of the eight clubs represented. Others from the local club were: Ann Avent, Ann Merritt, Lou Merritt, Pattle Qcnevad, Marsha ferson, and Rita Pat terson. At least seven win ners of past feature events In the late model Sportsman division are expected to be on hand. These Include Benny Davis of Haw River, winner of four main events and Earl Moss of Creedmoorwlththree 'feature wins to his credit. Both Moss and Davis had hard luck last week and were unable to place In the top money. Moss's car. owned by Dick Collier of Loulsburg, blew an engine while warm ing up for the feature even and was out for the night. Davis, the track's wlnnlngest driver, was Involved In a four car plleup at the start of the fifth lap in the feature event and damage to his car put him out of the running. Dick Collier stated that a new engine has been installed In his fast No. 28 and that Moss will tie back In action Wednesday night. Davis also has his car repaired and will be back.
