Community News Louisburg Miss Adelaide Johnson, Mrs. John F. Matthews and Mrs. C. Willie Strotter were dele gates at the Episcopal Church women's Annual Convention, The Church of the Good Shep herd, Raleigh Tuesday. After the business session they toured the new Diocesan House at North Hills and attended the banquet honoring Suffragan Bishop-elect W. Moultrie Moore at the Sir Walter Hotel. Seven Path* Rev. and Mrs. Darrell Heath and children of Fountain Hill, Arkansas spent a week with Rev. and Mrs. James A. Wood and family. Mrs. Lola Ingram and Mr. Robert Ingram of Greensboro had lunch on Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Moore. Mrs. Ingram stayed for a visit. Pvt. and Mrs. Ronny Wheeler of Fort Bragg spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Wheeler and Howard. Mr. and Mrs. M. E. Fisher visited Mr. and Mrs. Claude Driver and family of N?w Hope Sunday afternoon and then mo tored to Rocky Mount to see Mrs. Alma Dickens. Mr. W. D. Fisher returned from Norfolk and Virginia Beach, Va. on Monday after an extended visit therewith rela tives. Mr. Grady Fisher brought him from Enfield where he had spent Sunday night with the Kenneth Clays. Wilder and wile, Elizabeth of Mineral Wells, Texas, are at the home of Mrs. Lena Wilder, his mother, having arrived Tues day evening and will leave on Friday. Justice Mr. and Mrs. Tim Harris and son, Robert Allen from Virginia Beach, Va. were guests In the home of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Harris from Sat urday until Monday morning. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Brown and children from Raleigh came down Sunday for the day. HONEY-TOP DATE CAKE 3/4 cup sifted flour 1 teaspoon baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/4 cup chopped nutmeats 1/2 cup finely cut pitted dates ! 1/2 cup soft butter or margarine 3/4 cup sugar 3 eggs, separated 1/2 teaspoon vanilla flavoring 1/2 cup All-Bran (whole bran cereal) 3 tablespoons milk * ? ? ? 1/2 teaspoon cornstarch 3 tablespoons orange juice 1 -1/2 tablespoons honey Sift together flour, baking powder and salt; combine with nutroeats and dates. Blend butter and sugar. Add egg yolks, ?anil la and All-Bran; beat well. Add sifted dry Ingredients alternately with milk, mixing well after each addition. Beat egg whites until stiff but not dry. Fold Into batter. Spread In greased and lightly floured 8 * 8-lnch pan. Bake In mod erate oven (350 deg. F.) about 40 minutes. Combine cornstarch, orange Juice and honey. Pour over warm cake.
