Bright Belt Program Announced Many leaders In varloua phases of the tobacco Industry will appear on the program for the 23rd annual convention of the Bright Belt Warehouse As sociation next month. The full convention agenda was an nounced today by FredS. Roy ster, managing director of the association. The conven tion will be held at the Block age Runner hotel at W right s vllle Beach, N. C., June 19 22. Monday will be devoted to registration, with a cocktail hour In the evening. The resolutions committee Is to meet Tuesday morning, and a full session Is sche duled for the afternoon. Spea kers at that time will be: Mrs. Harry B Caldwell, Greensboro, master of the North Carolina State Grange; John D. Palmer, of'WUson and Washington, D. C., president of Tobacco Associates, Inc.; B. C. Mangum, president of the North Carolina Farm Bu reau, of Raleigh; William A. O Flaherty, executive direc tor of the Tpbacco Tax Coun cil, Richmond, Va.; William H. W. of the Tobacco Gro wers Information Committee, Inc., of Raleigh. The dinner meeting Tuesday night will feature Charles B. ' Wade, Jr., vice-president of the R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company, Winston-Salem; James A. Gardner, North Carolina commissioner of agriculture, Raleigh. On Wednesday morning the] board of governors and re solutions committee will have their meetings. The annual golf tournament will begin at 9 a.m. under direction of Harold Veazey, with the ladles bridge tournament that morn ing. F. R. Pldcock, DI will be toastmaster for the annual Banquet Wednesday evening at which time Edmund H. Harding, of Washington, N. C., nationally known alter dinner speaker, will be featured. Golf prize* will presented at .that time. A general session will be held Thursday morning. Spea kers will be: Horace D. Department of Agriculture. At the Thursday morning closing session reports will be given by Royster as man aging director; W. T. Joyner general counselor, Raleigh; and the report of the reso lutlons committee. S. Walker Stone, of Durham, Is chairman of the board of the association; John A. Pell, Jr., president; F. R. Pldcock, III, vice-president; Mrs> Anne H. Fleming, secretary-trea surer; F. S. Royster, man aging director, and W. T. Joyner, general counsel. Warehousemen from the flue-cured producing States of the Southeast will attend the meeting. Officers are not elected at the annual meeting.
