The contest, which always draws large crowds, will see a much Improved Frankllnton ?quad and a Loulsburg eleven plagued with Injuries. Both teams lost heartbreakers last week. Loulsburg fell to Nor llna with a little more than a minute to go In the game, 7-6 and the Rams bowed to Wakelon by the exact same margin. Frankllnton holds an opening game win against Spring Hope, a team that beat Loulsburg the following week, 6-0. The Rams subsequently lost to Ox ford Orphanage and Loulsburg foil to Warrenton. Frankllnton has a new coach, although not new to the team. Hiram J. Guedalla, long-time head basketball and assistant football coach took over the Butner Slate Announced The regular weekly program of stock car racing Is set for Sunday afternoon here with seven events being scheduled for three classes of cars. The program has been can celed for the past two Sun days because of a muddy track. Sunday afternoon's program will get under way at 8 JO P.M. with two heats and a feature race being on tap for the late model, and Hobby cars and a 15 lap race for the beginning Hobby drivers. This last event has proven to be very popular with fans In the prior three runnings. Several drivers from Frank lin County will be competing. These Include Bobby Gilliam and Foots Arnold In the be ginners Hobby race and Mar vin Turner of Frankllnton in the late models. All the drivers who have been so popular with fans here this year will be back. These Include Earl Moss, Donnle Lloyd and Don Daniels of Creedmoor. Louls burg, starting its football pro Legion To Study Baseball Project The American Legion Post here will study the possibility of forming an American Legion baseball program for the area, according to Post Com mander George Champion, Jr. Loulsburg College Athletic Director and baseball coach, Russell Frailer, will address the Post In a meeting here Friday night. Legion ball Consists of 10th, 11th and 12th grade students and team members can be chosen from 3700 such students In the area. This number Indicates that should a program be set up here, some players might come from any any place In the county and some, perhaps, from outside the county. Any local team would probably be a part of the league with Raleigh and other larger cities In the area. A great deal of interest has been expressed In the county for a strong baseball program.
