YWA Meets The NoraC. Layton Y.W.A.'s of PUt Hock Baptist Church mat Monday night at the home at Darlyne Cash. President Jenny Wlgglna called the meeting to order. Darlyne Cash led In the opening pray er. Study-course chairman Dar lyne Cash and counselor Carlyle Hill Introduced Mrs. Margaret Hill as the teacher of the study-course, "So Sure of Tomorrow." Mrs. Hill Is the daughter of Mrs. Layton for whom the Y.W. A.'s were named. She told of how Africans have hope in tomorrow because of social, economical, educational, re ligious, and political changes in their country. Other members who enjoyed the study-course were Linda Paschall, Jo Ann Fraiser, Pam Hart, and Vickie Wheeler. Special guest was Miss Ann Hill. Refreshments consisted of white and orange cake squares, orange punch, orange slices, candy corn, and cheese chips. Mr. Stebbins Speaks At Fellowship Dinner YOUNGSVILLE ? Mr. Ar nold W. Stebblns was guast speaker at the annual Fellow ship Dinner of the Youi^svllle Baptist Church which was held at the Seminary Cafeteria In Wake Forest on Wednesday night November the fifteenth. This dinner was a highlight of the Forward Program of Church Finance being con ducted by the church. In troduced by Church Minister Rev. L. Jervals Phillips, Mr. Stebbins presented a Steward ship message relating to giving of Time, Talents and Tithes. His closing quote was "A person makes a living by what he earns; he makes a life by what he gives." Mr. Stebblns also presented a program of songs In keeping with the occasslon. Prior to entering the Ministry, Mr. Stebblns was a commercial Airline pilot and a pro BALL WELL DRILLING CO. A father, and grandfather, Mr. Stebblns and his family now live In Wake Forest where he Is a Senior at the Seminary. Pre -dinner music was by pianist Mrs. Francis Wrage of Wake Forest. There were one hundred and one persons In attendance for the dinner. Printed programs emphasized the Fellowship and Tithing theme carried out. Tables were decorated with arrangements of harvest fruit. Rev. Phillips recognized the various chairmen and com mittees of the church who have taken a leading part In this Stewardship promotion. A Children's Party was held simultaneously at the Baptist Church with entertainment and refreshments provided for a bout fifteen small children. Mrs. J. E. Preddy, Mrs. N.A. Brown and Sandra Cash of other churches In the corn unity gave their services in this capacity. Mrs. Cherle' Llndsey assisted them. Franklin Mem.
