Concert Chairmen Announced Youngsville ? Mrs. W. F. [ Mitchell and Mrs. A. N. Cor- I pening of Youngsville will serve again this year as local chairmen for the Friends of The College. Inc., Concert Series Membership Drive. This series has been locally sponsored by the Youngsville Woman's Club for a number of years and has been pro moted by clubwomen each year under the leadership of Mrs. Mitchell and Mrs. Cor pening. Anyone in the community desiring to purchase a season ticket or to make inquiries aboi^t concerts are invited to contact either of the two local chairmen. Moss and family were in Lynch burg, Virginia during the weekend to visit with Jimmie Moss at school there. Mr. Robert Phillips was here from Columbia, S. C. to spend the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. L. J. Phillips and family. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Tim berlake and Mrs. G. W. Barnes. Sr. have been vaca tioning in Florida this week. Called Home Holding a rat by its tail, the little boy rushed into the room saying, "Don't be afraid. Mom. He's dead. We beat and bashed and smashed him 'til . . ." (then noticing the minister present), he add ed in a low voice, "God called him home." Heart Drive Sunday Youngsville ? The annual Heart Fund Drive will be con ducted on Sunday, February 23rd under the leadership of Mrs. L. A. Woodlief. The campaign is being sponsored by the Your , lie Woman's Club with Mr*. Woodlief as chairman. Members of The Teenage Club will be working in the house to house Canvass on Heart Sunday which will begin at 2 o'clock. Citizens are urged to wel come their young people as they make calls in behalf of the Heart Fund. Mrs. T. E. Lindsey has been serving as Special Gifts Chairman this year and will accept any donations. Fond parents who seek to live their children's lives us ually manage to mess up everything. Justice Dr. J. C. Bunn from Tulsa, Okla. visited relatives in the community last Wednesday - Mrs. Lucille W. Harris and Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Wheless. Mrs. Norman Wicks and Mrs. Willie Rice were in Dur ham Thursday night and Fri day, Mrs. Wicks visited Mr. Wicks at the Hill Haven Con valescent Center and spent the right fn the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Wicks. Mrs. Rice visited the John Rice family. ' - Mrs. Maxine Tunstall and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Thar rington and son Dickie from Raleigh had lunch with Mr. and Mrs. QJlie Layton Sun day. ?. Mr. Ralph Mitchell from Norfolk. Va. visited in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Onnie Bowden several days last week. Mr. George Boone is pres ently a patient at Park View Hospital in Rocky Mount. Mrs. Edith Fleming .from Rocky Mount had lunch with Mrs. Norman Wicks Saturday. Sunday afternoon Mrs. Wicks. Miss Shirley Perry, Mr. Stan ley Nelms and Mr. Mike Duke visited Mr. Wicks in Durham. Mrs. Elfno Medlin entered Maria Parham Hospital in Henderson Sunday afternoon and had surgery Monday morning. Mrs. Johnny Sykes from Spring Hope spent Monday night and Tuesday with Mrs. Lizzie Wicks. Mrs. George Boone went to Spring Hope Saturday to spend some time in the home . of Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Tyson while Mr. Boone is in the hospital. Mr. Ronnie Rice came home Saturday after a week at Veterans Hospital in Dur ham as the results of an auto mobile accident. Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Perry from Raleigh spent the week end with Mr. and Mrs. Cleve land Perry and Miss Shirley Perry. Mr. and Mrs. J. B.
