Sunday. Funeral services were
held at 3 p.m. Monday at the
MiUbrook Baptist Church by
the Rev. William Puckett.
Burial followed in the Oak
Grove Baptist Church ceme
tery near Wake Forest.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs.
Ada Alford Woodlief; two
daughters, Gail and Cindy
Woodlief; two sons, Buddy
and David Woodlief, all of the
home; two sisters, Mrs. Hu
bert Alford of Youngsville
and Mrs. Roy Bridges of Zeb
ulon; two brothers, Ben of
Youngsville and Joe Woodlief
of White Lake.
MISS MOLLIE BREWER
Miss MoUie Brewer, 82, of
Route 2, Louisburg, died
Sunday afternoon in a Dur
ham nursing home.
Funeral services will be
conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m.
from Sandy Creek Baptist
Church, by the Rev. Don
Ballenger and the Rev. W. P.
Childers. Burial will follow in
the Brewer family cemetery.

Broom. Mr. Harris died Sun
day at Franklin Memorial
Hospital. Burial followed in
the Harris family cemetery at
the home.
Surviving are two sons,
Bruce M. Harris of Asheville
and Dewey V. Harris of Rural

marriage of Miss Kathy Sue
Alexander and Mr. William
Steven Collins, both of Ports
mouth, Virginia. The Collins
are former residents of Louis
burg, North Carolina.
Young People
Fix Area
Youngsville ? The young
people of the Youngsville
Baptist Church are in the
process of fixing up an area
of the church set aside for
them upstairs in the educa
tional building, where Youth
Fellowship meetings are held.
In the large recreation
area, games and tables have
been set up. A storage closet
has been built for equipment.
Teenagers are painting and
cleaning up, with the coop
eration and support of adult
church members.
Adjoining the recreation
area is a lounge which has
been painted in shades of
avacoda and celery. Wall to
wall carpeting has been laid
and complimentary draperies
have been hung. Now the
young people are anticipating
furnishings for the lounge.
This project is sponsored
by the church and individual
contributions are being made
as members have become in
terested.

couple, officiated at the'
double ring ceremony.
The lovely bride was given
in marriage by her father Mr.,
Archie C. Alexander. She'
wore a formal gown of Bro
caded Satin, fashioned with
an empire A-line skirt, her
chapel length train was at
tached at the shoulders with
eight satin covered buttons.
The bodice formed a boat
neckline, the long sleeves ex
tended into wedding peaks
over the wrist. Her shoulder
length veil was attached to a
cluster of fabric roses, each
centered with three seed
pearls. The bride wore a sin
gle strand of cultured pearls,
a wedding gift from the
groom. For her bridal bou
quet, she choose to carry a
white satin covered Bible top
ped with white rose buds and
streamers.

and Mi*. Deloris Forehand
and Reverend Bob Myen, *o
loist rendered a program of
nuptial music. Rev. Myen,
sang "Oh, Promise Me" and
Mrs. Forehand sang, "Well
Walk With God" and 'The
Wedding Prayer". Wagner's
"Bridal Chorus" was chosen
for the processional and Men
delssohn's "Wedding March"
was played for ^the reces
sional.
Mrs. Arthea Brinkley was
her sister's matron of honor.
She wore an empire A-line
gown of tangerine satin, a
three inch lace of the same
color formed as apron effect
along the length of the skirt.
She carried a cascade of green
carnations tied with green
satin ribbon. Her head piece
of matching tulle was de
signed in a wedding circle.
Bridesmaids were Miss
Joyce Collins of Richmond.
MRS. WILLIAM STEVEN COLLINS
Va., sister of the groom, and
Mrs. Diana Alexander, aunt
of the bride, and Miss Nancy
Teswnear, friend of the bride,
both of Portsmouth, Va.
They wore identical gowns of
green as the honor attendant
and carried cascades of tan
gerine carnations, with
matching ribbon. Thar head
pieces were also as the ma
tron of honor.
Miss Cindy Collins, half
sister of the groom, was
flower girl. Her floor length
gown and head band was of
white dotted swiss. She
carried a small white basket
of rose petals. Master Bruce
Boley, half brother of the
bride, was ring bearer. He
wore a formal attire as the
groomsmen and carried a
white satin pillow trimmed in
lace and ribbon.
The grooms father, Mr.
Charles Collins, was his sons
best man. Ushers were Mr.
Tommy Collins, brother of
the groom, ,Mr. Earl Ander
son, cousin of the groom, Mr.
Ray Alexander, brother of
the bride, and Mr. Wayne
Gainous, friend of the couple,
all of Portsmouth.
Mrs. Raymond Boley
chose for her daughter's wed
ding a short sleeve, sheath
style dress of saffire blue
nylon lace with matching ac
cessories. Her shoulder cor
sage of yellow carnations
complemented her costume. *
The groom's step-mother,
Mrs. Flora Collins, wore a
pink crepe long sleeve dress
with matching lace duster and
accessories. She wore a green
carnation corsage.
For traveling to an unan
nounced destination, the
bride changed to a two piece
blue suite, with a white lace
blouse and patent accessories.
She wore the rose bud cor
sage lifted from her bridal
bouquet.
Mrs. Collins is a junior at
Woodrow Wilson High School
and attends the Portsmouth
School of Beauty Culture.
Mr. Collins is a graduate of
Cradock High School and at
tended Old Dominion Col
lege. He is a department man
ager at Zayre's Department
Store in Portsmouth.
The couple will make their
home at 506 Cherodee Road,
Portsmouth, Virginia.
