Mr John 0. Gunn, prominent businessman of Yanceyville.
N. C., has established the Annie Newman Gunn Scholarship at
Louisburg College in honor of his wife, an alumna of the
college
In making the presentation to the college. Mr. Gunn stated.
"The purpose of the award is to encourage well-rounded
development and to aid promising students to continue their
education beyond the high school level, and encourage good
Christian stewardship."
The scholarship, funded by a principal sum of $10,000. will
yield $500 y?*rty to a student who best meets the qualifica
tions. Preference ts to be given Caswell County students.
The announcement of the scholarship was made at the
Alumni Banquet Saturday evening. May 17. Mr. and Mrv
Gunn were present as honored guests.
